Selling a house or helping someone buy or sell their home if you are a Realtor, can be an exciting time. One of the most common questions we get from Realtors and home sellers alike is “when will I get my check?”

This is understandable as there has been a lot of work and patience to get the transaction done. Plus, who doesn’t like a payday!

We make every effort to pay all of the parties involved quickly, oftentimes the same day the transaction closes. However, this can vary based on the day or time of day the closing occurs. For example, most banks aren’t open after 5 or 6 pm and are closed on weekends.

That said, here is when you can expect to be paid for your closing or your commission if you were part of helping a transaction become a done deal:

If you are owed net proceeds from the sale of a house, or a Commission as Realtor, you can usually expect a check to be cut the same or next business day.

Of course, if you are out of town, the check will be mailed, so estimate an extra day or two to actually receive it.

If you’d like to receive the funds very quickly, it might be a good idea to select a Monday-Thursday closing date. This way you shouldn’t have to wait until the following week if banks or offices are closed.

It is often assumed that Wire Transfers are faster than receiving a paper check. However, this isn’t always true. Wire transfers sometimes require more verification and approvals (due to cyber fraud) and as a result may even take an extra 24 hours to receive the funds.

[/et_pb_text][/et_pb_column_inner][/et_pb_row_inner][/et_pb_column][et_pb_column type=”1_3″ _builder_version=”4.16″ custom_padding=”|||” global_colors_info=”{}” custom_padding__hover=”|||”][et_pb_sidebar orientation=”right” area=”sidebar-1″ show_border=”off” admin_label=”TT – Sidebar” _builder_version=”4.16″ saved_tabs=”all” global_colors_info=”{}”][/et_pb_sidebar][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_section][et_pb_section fb_built=”1″ _builder_version=”4.24.2″ _module_preset=”default” custom_padding=”60px||60px||true|false” custom_padding_last_edited=”on|tablet” hover_enabled=”0″ sticky_enabled=”0″ custom_padding_tablet=”54px||54px||true|false” top_divider_flip=”vertical” border_width_top=”5px” border_color_top=”#61140e” border_width_top_last_edited=”off|desktop” global_module=”16423″ saved_tabs=”all” locked=”off” custom_padding_phone=”54px||54px||true|false”][et_pb_row _builder_version=”4.24.2″ _module_preset=”default” theme_builder_area=”post_content” disabled_on=”off|off|off” hover_enabled=”0″ sticky_enabled=”0″ custom_padding=”0px||0px||true|false”][et_pb_column _builder_version=”4.24.2″ _module_preset=”default” type=”4_4″ theme_builder_area=”post_content”][cwp_text_reveal cwp_content=”

” cwp_reveal_color=”#61140e” admin_label=”TT – Home – Roll Over” _builder_version=”4.24.2″ _module_preset=”default” header_front_level=”h2″ body_text_color=”#FFFFFF” custom_margin=”||10px||false|false” hover_enabled=”0″ locked=”off” global_colors_info=”{}” theme_builder_area=”post_content” sticky_enabled=”0″][/cwp_text_reveal][et_pb_button button_text=”Leave Feedback” _builder_version=”4.24.2″ _module_preset=”default” theme_builder_area=”post_content” button_alignment=”center” button_url=”https://app.feedbackautomatic.com/cartatitle/” url_new_window=”on” hover_enabled=”0″ sticky_enabled=”0″][/et_pb_button][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][/et_pb_section][et_pb_section fb_built=”1″ module_class=”tt-wide-footer ttfw-template-footer” _builder_version=”4.24.2″ background_color=”#191919″ custom_padding=”160px||160px||true|false” top_divider_style=”mountains” top_divider_color=”#ffffff” top_divider_flip=”vertical” bottom_divider_style=”mountains” bottom_divider_color=”#0d0d0d” global_module=”10163″ saved_tabs=”all” locked=”off” global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_row module_class=”tt-row-map-a” _builder_version=”4.24.2″ custom_padding=”0px||30px||false|false” animation_style=”slide” animation_direction=”top” animation_duration=”1500ms” global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_column type=”4_4″ _builder_version=”4.16″ custom_padding=”|||” global_colors_info=”{}” custom_padding__hover=”|||”][et_pb_text admin_label=”TT – Header – Top” _builder_version=”4.24.2″ text_font=”||||||||” header_font=”|800|||||||” header_text_align=”center” header_text_color=”#ffffff” text_orientation=”center” background_layout=”dark” custom_margin=”||0px||false|false” header_font_size_tablet=”55px” header_font_size_phone=”45px” header_font_size_last_edited=”on|phone” global_colors_info=”{}”]

Our Location

[/et_pb_text][cwp_text_reveal cwp_content=”

” cwp_reveal_color=”#61140e” disabled_on=”on|on|on” admin_label=”TT – Home – Roll Over” _builder_version=”4.24.2″ _module_preset=”default” header_front_level=”h2″ header_front_text_color=”#FFFFFF” body_text_color=”#FFFFFF” custom_margin=”||10px||false|false” disabled=”on” locked=”off” global_colors_info=”{}”][/cwp_text_reveal][et_pb_text admin_label=”HR” _builder_version=”4.24.2″ text_font=”||||||||” text_text_color=”#ffffff” header_font=”|800||on|||||” header_text_align=”center” header_text_color=”#ffffff” header_font_size=”75px” header_letter_spacing=”1px” header_line_height=”1.3em” text_orientation=”center” background_layout=”dark” custom_margin=”||20px|” header_font_size_tablet=”55px” header_font_size_phone=”45px” header_font_size_last_edited=”on|phone” locked=”off” global_colors_info=”{}”]

We’d love to hear from you
