Guided by a lifelong refusal to accept mediocrity, Deondra approaches the practice of law with determination, creativity, resilience, and courage. She continually evolves—refining her skills and deepening her understanding of the people and communities she serves.

Before becoming a licensed attorney, Deondra spent more than a decade building a distinguished career with the Social Security Administration. Her roles as Claims Representative, Technical Expert, and Operations Supervisor gave her a rare, comprehensive understanding of federal processes and the real‑world impact of administrative decisions.

During her tenure, she designed and implemented workflows that streamlined the processing and adjudication of claims, appeals, and applications submitted online, by mail, and/or in person. She trained and mentored SSA staff, managers, supervisors, and community partners on Title II benefits and disability programs.

While serving in the Charlotte, North Carolina field office, she developed the office’s first appeals unit and other specialized units—significantly reducing processing times and improving service delivery.

She also volunteered as an advocate for individuals experiencing homelessness through the City of Rock Hill’s Homeless Court, demonstrating her commitment to justice and community.
